GLENROWAN has received a tremendous boost in the lead-up to the Ovens and King Football League finals, with coach Nigel Robinson and the bulk of his leadership group signing on for another year.
Robinson has taken the league by storm this season, both as a coach and as a player.
He has led the Tigers from the bottom of the ladder to the upper echelon, with his side currently sitting third after suffering just its second loss from 15 matches.
On the field Robinson has been one of the competition’s best, dominating games both in the midfield and up forward, and he was sitting third in the league’s Player of the Year award when voting went behind closed doors at round 14.
Robinson agreed to terms with club president Casey McPhail earlier this week, and said the decision to re-sign was an easy one.
“It was something we wanted to get done, because you don’t want to be in the position where nobody knows what’s happening next year when you’re trying to focus on getting ready for finals,” Robinson said.
