THE Murray Bushrangers have moved into the TAC Cup top four for the first time this season after scoring a superb 21-point victory over reigning premier Oakleigh on Saturday.

Since being brushed aside by Western Jets almost three weeks ago, the Bushrangers have responded with strong wins against Sandringham and now the Chargers.

Bryden Squire was the difference between the two sides on the day as he booted five goals, rotating between the midfield and up forward.

Joe Cousins was also influential, as were Wangaratta Rovers’ Dylan Wilson (two goals), Matthew Brett (three) and Daniel Howe.

The Chargers, with their finals hopes on the line, surged home hard in the final quarter with three goals, however, the Bushrangers were equal to the task and were able to hold on to win 13.14 (92) to 9.17 (71).
