Lessons learnt by O&K netball sides

THEY might not have won but the Ovens and King’s senior and under 17 interleague netball teams learnt a lot from Saturday’s matches against Central Highlands at Buninyong.

Taking in a squad filled full of talent, the Ovens and King’s senior team was looking to back up from last year’s effort when they won both interleague matches.

But with Central Highlands also possessing plenty of talented stars, the match was always going to be closely contested.

And so it panned out in the first half with both the O&K and Central Highlands enjoying periods of dominance.

By half time the score saw Central Highlands up by two goals and most expected the match to go down to the wire.

However, unfortunately for the Ovens and King, their Ballarat-based opponents made a couple of changes and took the game away in the second half to win by 17 goals.
