THE Australian Services Union (ASU) has again accused Councillor Julian Fidge of bullying Rural City of Wangaratta staff.
Union representative for the North East, Ty Lockwood, said Cr Fidge sent an “aggressive” email to a council staff member yesterday.
It follows an independent workplace relations investigatior last month substantiating 21 of 23 claims of bullying by Cr Fidge against council staff.
Under a ban implemented at the rural city offices Cr Fidge is unable to contact any staff and has been banned from sections of the building, while council staff have been instructed to hang up the phone or walk away if Cr Fidge tries to communicate with them.
Both the ASU and Cr Fidge yesterday told the Wangaratta Chronicle Cr Fidge sent an email to the mayor, who passed it on to a staff member, who then wrote back to the mayor, who forwarded it to Cr Fidge.
Cr Fidge then wrote directly to the staff member in an “aggressive” way, according to Mr Lockwood.
