WANGARATTA has won three games in a row and levelled its win/loss ratio at 3-3, but as far as star utility Matt Grossman is concerned, that is in the past.
The Magpies responded to losing their opening three games by getting over the top of Myrtleford, Wodonga Raiders and Wodonga in the past three weeks to sit sixth on the ladder.
But with matches against Albury tomorrow and Wangaratta Rovers after the interleague bye, Grossman said the Magpies have a new aim.
“After the North Albury game we really set ourselves to level up at 3-3,” he said.
“We ticked that box off last week so now we want to see if we can be competitive against the top teams like Albury, Lavi, Yarra and then obviously Wang Rovers next round.
“We’ve achieved one aim but we now turn our attention to our next aim which is this week.”
