THE mood in the King Valley rooms after Saturday’s 61-point win over Moyhu was one of pure jubilation – the Roo boys sang their song with gusto and pride.
It was King Valley’s first home game against Moyhu in three years, and it had been longer still since they’d had a win over the Hoppers.
Coach Brendan Sessions, who didn’t know quite what to expect heading into the game, was understandably a very happy man following the win.
“It’s been a long time since we beat Moyhu, and a long time since we’ve even played them up here,” Sessions said.
“So to get them up here today and to beat them, it really meant a lot to the boys, so we’re absolutely rapt.
“It gives us a lot of confidence – coming off five easy matches, this shows us a bit about where we are at now.”
