GALEN College’s talents in the drama department will shine this week, as they put on their annual production this year’s show being High School Musical.

Based on the Disney Channel’s original film, the popular musical will be performed by students from years seven to 12, as they portray the lives of characters Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez, who are brought together by a mutual love of singing.

The students will kick of the performances with the opening show commencing this Thursday (May 2), with the Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre hosting the four shows.

The 7:30pm timeslot will be featured on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a one-off 1:30pm performance on Saturday, in addition to the evening shows.

Weeks of preparation has gone into this year’s show, with tickets available at the Wangaratta PAC.

The annual production is this year directed by Julie Nolan and David Ashfield, and proves to be a highlight of the year for many within the Galen community.
