DEVELOPERS and home buyers are steadily investing in Wangaratta, as the city’s western and southern areas host strong residential development.

Construction recently began on a 235 lot estate in Christensen Lane, and it joins a number of other estates at various stages of construction across Wangaratta.

Baltimore Park, being developed by Baltimore Pty Ltd on 60 acres of land formerly occupied by the Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE equine centre in Christensen Lane, includes 22 lots in its first stage.

Angelo Pomponio, from selling agents Insite Real Estate, said a number of lots had sold already, and interest in the estate had been high.

Insite also handles sales of two other estates nearby, the popular Waldara Park off Yarrawonga Road, which is into construction of its fifth stage, and Currawong Estate, which recently started construction off Worland Road.

Another on its books is Creek View Estate, in another fast-growing area of the rural city, off Salisbury Street in South Wangaratta, which is in the first of three stages.
