FUNDING of $300,000 for one of Wangaratta’s pre school providers will ensure an extra 15 hours of kindergarten services per week.

Yarrunga Primary School Early Years Centre (YPSEYC) will use the money to upgrade its facilities to allow room for North East Regional Pre School Association (NERPSA) cluster management to expand its programs.

Yarrunga principal Karen Forge said the upgrades would consist of structural changes to meet safety standards as well as the inclusion of an outdoor adventure playground, similar to the model at Batchelor’s Green.

The upgrades will provide space for three year old kinder groups to run, allowing NERPSA more space at existing facilities for an extra 15 hours of four year old kindergarten.
