Gil gets set for last gig

Ould hoping to end coaching career with success at Benalla

MAIN MAN: Gil Ould will coach Benalla All Blacks next season.

AFTER scouring the coaching landscape to find a suitable replacement for Ben Wapling, Benalla All Blacks have finally found their man, with Gil Ould taking on the top job for 2013.

A three-time premiership coach at Moyhu, Ould joins the Panthers having coached Rutherglen in the Tallangatta and District Football League in 2012.

He also coached the OandK interleague side in 2010, and was a selector for the VCFL division two side that played in last year’s Australian Country Football Championships.

While the deal ties Ould to the club for 12 months at this stage, both parties are hoping the partnership lasts beyond that term.

“Hopefully we can get two or three years out of it, but we’ll just see how it goes,” Ould said.
